Our favourite products for April 2011 ! Smile  Since spring is here, and summer is coming , we’ve decided to focus on sun care products this month!

1) Sulwhasoo Snowise Eye Brightener SPF35 PA++

SIze: 6ml

White Ginseng Polysaccharides, Hedyotis Diffusa, and Indian Bread extracts revitalize fatigued eyes and treat skin circulation and blood circulation for brighter, clearer eyes.

Photo-mineral ingredients that optically reflect light instantly brightens the eye area for glowing face

Apply a thin layer under the eyes before or after using makeup base/foundation and gently pat to finish.

Carry with you and use over makeup during the day for instant
brightening and for whitening, anti-wrinkle, and UV protection

This has grown so much on us that we can’t live without it anymore. It brightens up the eye area and it has a SPF 35 to top it off ! We’d definitely repurchase in a heartbeat!

2) HERA Sun Mate Daily SPF 35 PA ++

It protects skin exposed to UV rays in daily lives, and a formula applied with the Dermo-network Protection system provides the skin with complete protection from harmful elements generated by indoor as well as outdoor activities. The high molecular emulsification system independently developed by HERA offers a refreshing feel and smooth adherence of sun mate daily. This sunblock cream for everyday use also serves as a makeup base to save some time in the busy morning.

One of the reasons why we don’t use European sunblocks – sticky, greasy, and just plain uncomfortable to use!

Korean cosmetic brands produce the best sunscreens ever! HERA Sun Mate Daily SPF 35 PA +++ absorbs quickly, and the best thing is that it isn’t greasy at all. It brightens up the skin instantly too and doesn’t leave a white cast on the face.

3) History Of Whoo Whitening Sun Cream SPF 45

History Of Whoo Whitening Sun Cream is also a clear winner. It isn’t greasy, absorbs easily, and brightens up the skin immediately. It has a light pink tone to it which we absolutely love! It also contains all the beneficial herbal ingredients that helps in whitening. Slightly more moisturizing than the HERA Sun Mate SPF 35!

Love the sulwhasoo whitening stick too. I need a second one, one to carry around, one for the bathroom. Also a quick question do you know if I can get whoo in Singapore ? I am hopefully going there end of the month… I know that it is available somewhere close to HK over the border but with a baby
    It’s quite an adventure… Sogh

  2. I think you can purchase Whoo in Hong Kong! i remember a friend telling me before.

They use to have a counter in singapore, but sales weren’t good.. so….. Whoo lacks brand awareness outside of Korea and they have no one to blame but themselves. Their Whoo english website is so outdated and run down unlike the sulwhasoo english website which is on par with their korean wesite.

They are not available in hk, I asked at the debon counter which sells sooryehan and ISA Knox. You should see how to dodgy the counters look, no wonder they lose in popularity to Japanese brands here. I purchased my whoo first in Moscow in lotte plaza. They were very generous with samples but there is zero awareness of the brand and i think it won’t last there too. So I guess the gmarket is my best bet. Sulwhasoo is sooo priced up and with zero tax in hong kong even high end Japanese cosmetics are cheaper because they don’t do the price up thing. So amore is quite aggressive

    • I know Amore is very aggresive in HK, there are a few pages of Sulwhasoo ads on every HK beauty magazine. do they actually have an amore office there? or is it distributed by a Hk company?

    • My HK friend just replied and yeah, it’s not available in HK. Only in taiwan and china! weird since they have a Whoo.hk website !

Oh, okay. Have to brave out Shenzhen :_)
I think Amore has a proper office here, they have been established here since 2002. They represent officially 2 brands only Laneige and Sulwhasoo, but drug stores like Sasa and Bonjour have other Amore lines (Etude etc.) as well as LG’s. The prices are much cheaper there of course but the choice is rather limited tho’. I guess SASA imports itself.
